Welcome Pack

Welcome

Welcome to Bardon Scout Group. We aim to provide programs to our youth members that are fun, adventurous, inclusive and build character. While Scouts may be better known for providing adventure in the outdoors, our purpose is:

To contribute to the education of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

We also ensure that our programs are provided in the safest possible environment.

Scouting can offer many exciting experiences, and with your support we can provide fantastic activities and adventures for your child.

This page provides some information about Scouting in general and more specific information about Bardon Scout Group.

Supporting your child in Scouting

Putting your child through Scouting is a responsibility shared between the volunteer Leaders and Bardon Scouts’ parent community. Be prepared to get actively involved within the Group to support your child and the delivery of our program.

There are support options to suit all parents’ skill sets and time availability, and they are a great way to have fun, contribute meaningfully to a worthwhile cause, and build lasting friendships.

For parents who consider becoming a Leader, training is provided, including community-recognised VET qualifications. This is a great way to learn interesting skills, have fun, and contribute to the future of young people.

Talk to our Leaders and Committee about how you can participate. Your friendship and support are critical to the success of our Group.

We hope to see you at the Den soon.

Where We Meet

Bardon Scout Group has a Den (as they are known in Scouting) located on Bee St, Bardon. Limited parking is available in Bee Street and surrounding streets. Scouts will meet there on most section nights; however, we may be off-site for some activities.
