Rovers
We are planning to establish a Rover Scout section at Bardon Scouts for young adults aged 18 to 25 years. This section is coming soon!
What is Rovers?
Rover Scouts is the final and most senior section of Scouting, for young adults who want to continue their Scouting journey through adventure, service, and personal development.
Rovers run their own program, with each crew deciding its activities and meeting times around members’ work, study and other commitments. Activities include hiking, camping and international travel, service projects for the local community and the wider Scouting movement, mentoring younger Scouts, and social events with other young adults.
Why Join Rovers?
If you’ve been a Scout and want to continue the journey, Rovers offers new challenges suited to young adults. If you’ve never been a Scout, you’re welcome too: no prior experience is needed. Rovers are actively involved in community service, environmental projects and supporting the younger sections, and it’s a way to meet other young adults who share your interests.
Interested in Rovers at Bardon?
We’d love to hear from young adults aged 18 to 25 who would like to join a Rover crew at Bardon, help start it, find out more, or contribute ideas for the program. Please contact us and let us know. Your interest and input will help shape our Rover section, and we can add you to our Rover interest list so you hear when it launches.
In the meantime, you can find out more about Rovers through Scouts Queensland, or see How to Join.
