PL Adventure
PL Adventure is an overnight camp for Patrol Leaders in the Scout section, held late each year. It’s ideal for older Scouts, especially those looking for a last adventure before they move up to Venturers. The 2026 details haven’t been released yet; the details below are from 2025 and give an idea of what to expect.

What Happened in 2025
Patrol Leaders met at Moreton Island Ferries, Howard Smith Drive, Lytton at 7:00am on Saturday and crossed to the island to camp overnight at The Wrecks. Pick up was back at the ferry terminal on Sunday afternoon, with the time confirmed closer to the event.
A responsible adult leader must attend with their group’s Scouts, and Scouts wear full uniform to and from the island.
What to Bring
Scouts are fully self-sufficient, with no sharing of food or equipment. Based on 2025, bring the same gear as for an overnight hike, packed in a backpack:
- One tent per Scout if possible (Scouts from the same group may share a tent or sleep under a tarp)
- Your own food and a hiking stove, such as a gas stove (there are no open fires)
- At least 4 litres of water, or a way to purify tap water on site
- Water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent and a broad brimmed hat
- Alcohol-based hand rub and hand wash soap
- Optional: a sand toboggan (or material to make one) and wax (beeswax works best), sand pegs for your tent, and compact fishing gear
