Hall Tree Lightning Strike and Electrical Repairs
Updates on tree pruning and electrical system replacement following lightning strike
The tree next to the Bardon Scouts hall was struck by lightning and needed to be pruned. The core of the dead tree has been left in place but it was pruned to remove any danger. Also the electrical systems had to be replaced.
Following the lightning strike, we took immediate action to ensure the safety of our members and the integrity of our facilities. Professional arborists assessed the tree and determined that while the core could remain, strategic pruning was necessary to remove dangerous branches and reduce future risk.
The lightning also damaged our electrical systems, requiring comprehensive replacement to meet safety standards. We’re pleased to report that all repairs have been completed successfully, and the hall is fully operational and safe for all our activities. Thank you to everyone for your patience during this unexpected maintenance period, and special thanks to our committee members who coordinated these essential repairs quickly and efficiently.
