Membership Fees
Bardon Scouts membership fees are the same across all sections (Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, and Venturers).
Current Membership Fee: $344 per six months
How You’ll Be Invoiced
Parents will be invoiced every six months for membership fees. Please check your email regularly to ensure you’ve received your invoice from Bardon Scouts.
If you haven’t received an invoice when expected, please contact us to confirm your email address is up-to-date in our system.
What’s Included in Membership Fees
Your membership fees cover:
- Weekly section meetings and activities
- Insurance coverage during Scout activities
- Access to Scout facilities and equipment
- Contribution to Scouts Queensland and Scouts Australia
- Program resources and materials
- Section leader training and support
Additional Costs
In addition to the six-monthly membership fees, families should budget for:
Uniform Costs
- Scout uniform (section shirt, Queensland scarf, woggle)
- View uniform information and pricing
Event and Activity Fees
- Camps and special events outside of normal meetings
- Camp costs vary depending on food, travel distance, and event size
- Average camp cost: $50 to $100
- Major events like Cuboree may have higher fees (invoiced separately)
- Pizza and Paddle, rock climbing, and other special activities
Event fees are invoiced separately when your child participates. You’ll receive details and costs through Consent2go permission requests.
Payment Methods
Payment details will be provided on your invoice. Please pay invoices promptly to ensure your child’s membership remains current.
Financial Assistance
Queensland children aged 5 to 17 can get a Play On! Sports Voucher of up to $200 from the Queensland Government, which can be used towards Scouts membership fees.
