Consent2go Permission System

Bardon Scouts uses Consent2go for parent permissions, health information and event payments, all in one place.

What is Consent2go?

Consent2go is a secure online system that replaced Operoo from Term 1 2026. Parents and guardians use it to manage permissions, medical information, and payments for Scout activities and events.

What You Can Do in Consent2go

Keep your child’s health information up to date. Add and update medical conditions, symptoms and triggers, medications and dosages, emergency contacts and dietary requirements. The structured format means Leaders have accurate information to care for your child during any Scout activity, and changes you make are available to them straight away.

Give permission for activities. You’ll receive permission requests for everything from regular meetings at the Scout Den to night activities, weekend camps, special events and multi-day camps like Cuboree. Review the details and give permission in the app or on the website.

Pay for activities, camps and events securely, without cash or cheques.

Privacy and Security

Only authorised Scout Leaders have access to your child’s information, and it’s used solely for their care and safety during Scouting activities.

Access Consent2go

Download the Consent2go Parent/Guardian app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (search “Consent2Go”), or use it in your web browser at consent2go.com.

Consent2go was originally designed for schools, so you’ll see some school terms: “Student” or “Participant” means your Scout, and “Staff” means the Scout Leaders. The system works the same way for Scouts.

Getting Started

When your child joins Bardon Scouts, you’ll receive an invitation to set up your Consent2go account. You’ll be guided through:

  1. Creating your account
  2. Adding your child’s information
  3. Entering medical and health details
  4. Setting up emergency contacts
  5. Providing initial permissions

Once set up, you’ll be notified whenever Leaders post new activities needing permission or payment.

Keeping Information Current

Please keep your child’s details up to date in Consent2go, especially medical conditions and medications, allergies and dietary requirements, emergency contact numbers, and your own contact details. Current information helps us keep your child safe during all Scout activities.

Please Reply, Even If It’s a No

The button in a Consent2go invitation email often says it’s confirming attendance. Pressing it doesn’t sign your child up: it opens the invitation, where you can answer yes or no.

If your child can’t come, please reply No. It tells the leaders who to expect, so they don’t have to chase you for an answer.

Problems Replying to an Activity

RSVP replies are closed. If you see this message, the time to reply has passed. Contact the leader in charge of the activity and ask them to extend the RSVP for your child.

Changing your RSVP. The link in the invitation email can only be used once. If you open it again to change your answer, you’ll see a message saying the link is single use. Contact the leaders and ask them to send you a new invitation.
